Hello to all dogs and your people,


• Introduction

    This is the first email/newsletter going out to the LaundroMutt-ans. In the future, we will be emailing at the beginning of each month, but we just could not wait on this first edition. Like most of you, we are resting our backs from shoveling all of this "wonderful" snow. After we cleared the walk in front of our house and uncovered our car, we marched over to here and unearthed the parking lot and sidewalks. I guess we have to be careful what we wish for.


• Grooming

    Our most exciting news at Laundromutt is the debut of our grooming service! Starting next week, LaundroMutt will offer full service grooming in our private room on the second floor (next to the BarkaLounge). Alana Helstowski will be heading up this service. Alana joins LaundroMutt with over four years of experience grooming dogs within the Boston area. Brumby, our Australian Shepherd, has already given her the two-paws up! For now, the full-service groom will be offered select days. We will expand this service as quickly as possible. Please call for more details and to set up an appointment at your earliest convenience.


• Wash, Dry & Fold

    LaundroMutt is also beta-testing our "Wash, Dry & Fold" service. We were going to call it our W.M.D. service (Wash More Dogs), but we were afraid we might not find any... Anywho, the "Wash, Dry & Fold" service is a drop-off service for owners who just have too many things to do. Go pick up those desperately needed office supplies at Staples or groceries at Whole foods while the dog gets washed. The service consists of a bath and a towel or blow dry. Pricing is the same as our self-service menu, plus a modest service charge. If YourDog is muddy, sandy and a little stinky, this service is for you. If YourDog has mats in its coat or is covered with burrs, we will direct you to our full service groomer. Please call ahead, as this service can only be offered on the weekdays and when we have an extra staff person. Our goal is to offer the "Wash, Dry & Fold" service every weekday, especially in the early evening.


• Dog Walkers and LaundroMutt

    We are also forging relationships with a few dog walkers and walking services in the area. For those lucky few, you can now request to have YourDog bathed at LaundroMutt after his or her daily constitutional. If you have your dog(s) walked in or around Cambridge, ask your dog walker about taking the dog(s) to LaundroMutt for an Über Spa.


• The BarkaLounge

    Amongst all the normal activity going on up in the BarkaLounge, we are preparing for our first doggie birthday party. Yes, we will be hosting a little guy who is turning one year old. He and several of his chums will be partying down with treats, toys and birthday cake. We are also coordinating plans for the upcoming Friday Night Socials at LaundroMutt. Let us know how we can make them fun for you, your friends, your dog and your dog's friends.


• Pick of the Month

    We have just finished restocking the shelves, adding several new products. Our favorite pick for February is Musher's Secret: a product that protects dog's feet from burning salt on the sidewalk. It also prevents snowballs from building up in-between YourDog's toes. It creates a clear, odorless layer on the paw that will not stain your carpets. Moreover, it will also protect YourDog's paws from the burning pavement in the summer. Musher's Secret is 100% natural. We also have all of your favorites: Blinky lights and balls for nighttime, "Retro" stainless steel food bowls, Bulk Greenies and much more.

    At Laundromutt, we believe that our clients are our best advertisements. We always appreciate you spreading the word about our little operation.
